Meat Thermometer
A good meat thermometer is indispensable to assure your smoked barbecue comes out perfect. The type I prefer are the ones you can poke once into the meat and forget. These are more costly but are worth it for they not only constantly monitor temperature, but many also have alarms to let you know when you meat has reached perfect temperature. If you don't want to spend as much, a good old fashion instant read thermometer will do the trick.
